We are planning to visit Disney around Thanksgiving of 2008 or 2009. We have heard that it is too crowded from some people and others say they loved going at that time because the weather was so great. Any thoughts on being there around Thanksgiving?

I can honestly say traveling around Thanksgiving is my favorite time of the year to visit Disney.    I live in Florida and personally find that November and February are two of the best weather months.    Warm, but not hot, and limited rain potential.

The actual Thanksgiving week will be a bit more crowded, especially as you approach Turkey day weekend.   It is not as crowded as Christmas and summer, but for those "crowd-adverse" it may be a bit much.  If you have the flexibility, I highly recommend visiting the week prior to Thanksgiving.   All the Christmas activities are going on (like the Spectacle of Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios) and there are barely any crowds.    We have visited this week each of the last three years.    During our most recent visit this past November, our family did not wait in any lines longer than 10 minutes.   The week after Thanksgiving is also fine, however, as you approach early December you risk slightly cooler weather.
