Hi i am planning to visit Disney in April next year and i was planning to stay at one of the value resorts. i was wondering if it is cheaper to get the package deal then just the room offer if i plan to go to all six parks as well.

Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Alice! I’m always crunching numbers when it comes to vacation planning. I am looking for value, convenience and fun all at the same time. My husband and I have stayed at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort in order to save some cash on an adults-only trip!

I find that because my family doesn’t eat as much food as is offered on the various Disney Dining Plans, we save money by going “a la carte.” I purchase a room and park tickets separately, and we often save up for Disney gift cards to budget our trip. Skipping the package and paying for meals directly saves us a lot of money as we are typically small breakfast eaters but like a snack in the afternoon. The Disney Dining Plan, when we have gotten it, is just too much to eat for us. If you and your family enjoy your meals and table service options, then a Magic Your Way Package might be for you! Personally, that’s the only thing I have to weigh… how hungry are we? If you see a special offer like Free Dining or a room discount, don't forget to apply that to your vacation. The savings might be perfect for you!

If you have any other questions related to your trip planning; budgeting, quick service meals or even where to find some free activities, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me ! ~ Lindsey P.
