We planning to visit disney in April 2013.Our main theme parks to visit are Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. We have a 7 year girl. What resort would you recommend us to stay? All the resorts are beautiful but we can't seem to decide.....help!

    Hi there, Lisa!

You've hit upon one of the wonderful problems when planning for a Walt Disney World vacation: where to stay!

Any of the Resorts is going to be fantastic, but the question boils down to, as it so often does, the budget of the travel party.

I'll offer my opinion on a Resort in each class that might be best for a travel party with a seven-year-old girl. I'm making the assumption that your little one loves the Disney Princesses!

Deluxe: Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. While not specifically princess-themed, this old-Florida style Resort on the monorail line to Magic Kingdom is the most "castle-like" of any of the Resorts. And its character dining spot - 1900 Park Fare - welcomes the likes of Mary Poppins, Alice, and Cinderella and Prince Charming on a daily basis. Remember to make your reservations 180 days out by calling (407) WDW-DINE!

Moderate: The new Royal Rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside. These regally-appointed rooms feature very sweet princess-y touches, including fiber optic fireworks that grace the head of each bed. This Resort offers complimentary bus transportation to all of the theme Parks.

Value: the Little Mermaid section at Disney's new Art of Animation Resort takes your travel party on a voyage under the sea. You'll feel like you're swimming with Ariel, Sebastian, Flounder, and all of the rest. Again, this Resort offers complimentary bus transportation to all of the theme Parks.

I hope to help you plan a trip that is "practically perfect in every way"!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
