Hello we are planning to visit Dinsey world in Orlando for the first time in February with our five year old daughter. How far in advance should we buy our theme park tickets?

Welcome, Denise thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question.

February is a great time to bring your little princess. This first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is going to be magical. I’m a girl dad to my Elsa and Anna. Each time I watched their eyes light up when they first met Mickey Mouse is something I will forever hold in my heart.

After January 9, 2024, making a park reservation will only be necessary tickets that are not date-based. Purchasing them will be at your discretion, I always like to purchase my tickets at least a month ahead of time. Some of the most exciting moments with all of my children were aboard the Ferryboat to Magic Kingdom Park. If you go all the way to the back of the boat which turns into the front of the boat as you depart the dock you should make sure you have a view of the small island with tall trees. If you make sure you point those out to your child at the right time they will start to see Cinderella Castle emerge from the treetops. The excitement that ensues afterward when they discover the spires arising is nothing short of memorable. This park is my favorite place on earth and has always provided me with special memories of my parents and now my children. Main Street U.S.A. has the perfect views of Cinderella Castle, and when the sun goes down be sure to grab a spot to enjoy the firework extravaganza Happily Ever After.

I hope this information is useful for planning little ones' first visit. Stop by anytime at planDisney.com for tips and other advice.

    Have a magical stay,
