Aloha, Kathleen!
What can I say except you're welcome here at planDisney! How exciting that I get to help a fellow Bay State resident with your question about one of my favorite
Disney Vacation Club Resorts,
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Kathleen, see the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me, and that's why I love spending our vacations riding the Hawaiian roller coaster ride at Aulani. Our family is visiting for the third time this August, as when the spirit of Aloha meets the magic of Disney, happiness is where you are.
For arriving to Aulani, you are going to want to fly into the island of Oahu, and
specifically Honolulu at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL). Aulani is about 45 minutes from the airport and there are a
few transportation options for getting to the Resort from the airport, including rental cars, shuttles, taxis and ride shares, and public transportation. Our family usually rents a car, as we like to have the flexibility to come and go as we like, but you certainly can use alternate transportation to get to the Resort. If you want to go on any of the
island excursions, those can be booked with the Holoholo Desk and many of them include transportation.
Kathleen, did you know from Boston Logan International Airport you can actually fly direct to and from Oahu on Hawaiian Airlines? We have taken this route a couple of times and it is a wonderful way to get there and immerse ourselves in the Hawaiian and Disney magic as quickly as possible. Other times, we connect on the West Coast. We have even flown to California and squeezed in a couple of days at Disneyland before continuing onto Aulani. Whatever you decide, magic awaits you.
I hope this helps you Kathleen. If you have any further questions about Aulani or getting there from the East Coast,
stop back and see me. Here at planDisney, we are your vacation planning 'ohana. 'Ohana means family, and that means nobody gets left behind.
A Hui Hao (that's Hawaiian for "until we meet again"),
