    We were planning to visit in August 2020 and had to cancel due to covid. On my disney experience it shows our magic bands as active. Will these 2020 magic bands still work? Some of us purchased special ones and would be disappointed if we cannot use them

    I'm so happy to hEAR you'll be arriving soon for a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. I, too, had a trip canceled due to the shutdown, and it was so wonderful when I was finally able to get back to my happy place! You'll feel immersed in the magic from the moment you arrive.

    Isn't it fun to showcase a bit of your personality on your wrist with a special MagicBand during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation? I love all the pretty colors and fun patterns available! The comfortable, waterproof bands can be used to:

    • Unlock the door of your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room (my favorite feature - no more fumbling in my bag when I'm tired after a day at the theme parks!)
    • Enter theme parks and water parks (with valid admission)
    • Connect Disney PhotoPass images to your My Disney Experience account
    • Charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room - It's so nice not to always have to carry cash or my purse, especially when we're relaxing by the resort hotel pool. If we get thirsty or want a snack, our MagicBands can be used at the pool bar to purchase our midday refreshments!
    All you have to do is tap your wrist to MagicBand touchpoints to magically navigate your Walt Disney World vacation. 

    If your MagicBands from your previously booked trip are still showing as active, they should be good to go for your upcoming visit. If for some reason you have any issues with them, such as not being able to unlock your Disney resort hotel room door, a quick visit to the front desk at your resort should get the problem resolved.
