Hi Ceidi! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
My family loves to travel to the Walt Disney World Resort in September (after Labor Day) to avoid large crowds and still enjoy beautiful weather. I feel that with school back in session by early September, the crowds tend to be low, lines do not seem to be as long, and the weather is perfect for lounging by the pool.
There are some fun happenings that begin to take place in September to welcome in the fall season. Magic Kingdom Park will put up some beautiful fall themed decorations for this season. Starting in mid September,
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on select nights. This extra ticket event gives you access to Magic Kingdom Park from 7:00pm-midnight for this fun and interactive Halloween Party. Dress up, trick or treat around the park, ride some of your favorite attractions, and dance the night away with family and friends. This is one of my favorite events and I love that it is “not so scary” so kids of all ages can have fun without the spooks!
The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Presented by Chase will begin September 25, 2015. If you love to eat and try new food and drinks than this is for you! There are close to 30 international food and beverage marketplaces throughout World Showcase. There are so many delicious options to sample and even a concert series with nightly performances from some pretty popular entertainers!
A great resource to check predicted crowd levels is touringplans.com. In my experience they have been really accurate in their crowd level predictions!
I hope that I have helped to answer your question! Have a magical time!
