    Planning our 2012 Vacation & Wondering which week would be the least crowded, Nov. 25-29 or Dec. 2-7?

    Hi there, Dick!

    Thanksgiving falls on November 22 this year. Your first potential arrival date is three days after the holiday, which might still be seeing crowds from the holiday week.

    While attendance after the holiday does fall off, I would take the later dates to ensure that Thanksgiving travelers have all headed back home.

    The December dates you have are excellent because they fall in the gap between Thanksgiving and Christmas, during a time when schools are still in session and winter vacationers haven't yet begun arriving in earnest.

    Decorations are up, the weather is lovely, and crowd levels are historically slightly lower than average to average. It's my opinion that the December dates are the ideal time for a wonderful family trip to the World!
