Hi, I am planning a vacation at WDW and want to stay at the Polynesian. I am debating between a standard room at Polynesian Village Resort and a studio at Polynesian Villas. Any major differences? We are a family of 5. Thanks.

    Aloha Erin!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Whether you stay in a standard room at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or a deluxe studio at Disney's Polynesian Villas and Bungalows, you will be able to enjoy the resort's fantastic dining options, beautiful theming, convenient transportation and amazing pools. Since this is my favorite resort at Walt Disney World, I really don't think you can go wrong! I have stayed in both a standard room and a deluxe studio with my family of four and both rooms were lovely, but there are some differences between the rooms that will help you make a decision about which type of room will work best for your family.

For your family of five, the standard rooms are equipped with two queen beds and one day bed, which pulls out from the couch. In the deluxe studio, you will find a queen bed, a queen sleeper sofa, and a twin-size pull down bed, which my son loved during our trip! I think the biggest difference between the two room options is the bathrooms. In the deluxe studios at Disney's Polynesian Villas and Bungalows, you will have two bathrooms for your family as opposed to the standard room's one bathroom. I think for larger families, this second bathroom is an amazing luxury for your vacation. It is really nice to be able to use both bathrooms when your family is getting ready for your day. Everyone will be able to get ready faster, which means you will have more time to spend more time playing in the theme parks and around the resort!

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
