HI there! I am planning a vacation to WDW in January/ February 2016. I was wondering which of the value resorts is the favorite among guests? We are a family of 4 ( 6 year old boy and 4 year old girl) for one week? Thank you!

Hi Korinn! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The January/February season is typically a good time of year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort due to slightly lower crowd levels. I really have found this time of year enjoyable, though you do have to plan for cool evenings and nights when packing.

When I travel to the Walt Disney World Resort my family is always on a budget. That means that we usually stay at a “value resort.”  Our absolute favorite value resort is Disney’s Pop Century Resort. We choose to stay at this resort 99% of the time! I feel that the price is always very reasonable and affordable to stay at this resort hotel.

There is something so nostalgic about this resort. The colors and themes are so vibrant. This resort transports you back to your childhood as it takes you through some of the greatest fads from the 1950’s-1990’s. The Hippy Dippy Pool is my kids favorite and they love splashing around in the kids area. The Everything Pop dining area offers a great variety of fresh food. There is something that will satisfy everyone’s hunger. The rooms are comfortable enough for a family of four.

During the day there are plenty of family fun activities that take place at the Hippy Dippy Pool. I have seen kids hula-hooping, dancing, and even participating in Disney trivia. You may even find your family dancing the hustle while you are eating lunch. There is even a playground where the kids can get rid of some energy.

If you choose to stay at this fun place they make it easy to have a groovy time!
