We are planning our vacation at wdw from December 30th through January 6th 2009. How busy of a time is this? What kind of lines and traffic should we expect. Is 7 days enough time to see the 4 parks and downtown disney? Need help here.

Hi Teresa.   Starting with the few days leading up to Christmas and for the few days after New Years, this is a peak visiting time and crowds will likely be larger than normal.   When we visited a few years back we stayed New Years Eve through the 4th or 5th of January.    We found that crowds started to lighten around the 3rd, so I think you may find the same thing towards the end of your stay.

Crowds mean longer lines but the good news is that you seem to have arranged enough time to fully enjoy the four parks and Downtown Disney.   Given the size of Magic Kingdom and Epcot, you will likely want to plan a second visit to these parks in order to see all the attractions.    The other two parks may take slightly less time to see.   You will also find that during this time, the parks will remain open later, so this will also give you the opportunity to do more within one day if you are comfortable with staying later.    Have a great visit!
