We are planning a vacation and wanting to know if we can wear water socks on water rides that aren’t in the water parks? Trying to plan on if we can do water socks, water shoes or sandals. Thank you for your help.

    Hi Stephen,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! Water rides and attractions are a great way to cool off on a hot Florida day, so I’m glad you’re planning them into your itinerary.

The Guest Courtesy and Attire Policies states that shoes must be worn at all times on the property. With that being said, I think wearing some type of water shoe or sandal that can get wet/dry quickly on a ride like Kali River Rapids is perfectly fine! You’ll just want to make sure you’re wearing the shoes in the line for the ride, so you’re ready to go once you reach the front. Once off the attraction, you can let your shoes dry and change into your sneakers or whatever you were wearing before. Wearing some type of water resistant shoe will also help keep a barrier between your feet and the ground which may be hot depending on the time of year!

I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you plan your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation! If you have any other planning or vacation questions, please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
