Hey there Alisa and welcome to planDisney!
Big groups at the
Walt Disney World Resort are so much fun. It's like a party within a party! My group of 10 is already strategizing on how to make our fall trip the most magical one yet. I'm so glad I get to do the same for you.
Checking
Theme Park Reservation availability in the Disney Park Pass System is a piece of cake. Just check out this sweet
availability calendar. Be sure to make those reservations as soon as you buy your tickets since so many people want to experience that Christmas magic during your travel dates. Speaking of Christmas magic, be sure to take in all of the holiday fun around
The Most Magical Place on Earth. Each Disney Park had different decorations and celebrations and
Disney Very Merriest After Hours was the highlight of my trip this past December. Check out
Disney Parks Blog for updates on the holiday festivities later this year.
Sitting down to a meal is a great way for large parties to decompress and recap their adventures from a Disney day. Now securing
dining reservations for a party your size can get a bit tricky but don't worry we'll work it out. One way you can try is to separate your group into a party of 8 and a party of 9. You and another member of your party could try to book 2 reservations via separate
My Disney Experience accounts at the same place for the same times. On the day of your reservation, arrive a little early at the restaurant and speak to a Cast Member about seating your parties together. I know they'll try their best to accommodate you. You could also call 407-824-1391 to speak with Disney Dining Cast Members about making reservations for all of you. Make sure to call early as it can get a bit busy with everyone trying to make those reservations.
Alisa, your travel party is in for the time of their lives. I'm sending you lots of pixie dust and hoping you get all the dining that you want and all the magic y'all can handle. A word of advice from the planner who travels with a big group, don't sweat the small stuff. If everything doesn't go exactly as planned, it's ok. Enjoy the people you came with because that's where the real magic is anyway!
Happy planning!
