Were planning our vacation for Spring of 2012 with 4 children ages 9m to 6yrs. If we came the weekend of May 19th do you think that would be too close to Summer break or not as busy since most schools aren't out until the end of May?

    Hi Rachel!!

The month of May is a wonderful time to take a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort.

Historically, the month of May is usually a very good time to go to Walt Disney World.  Schools usually aren't out yet and the weather is as near to perfect as you can get!  The only thing that pops in my mind about the month of May are the Star Wars Weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  The first Star Wars Weekend is May 18-20.  Weekends are always more crowded than the weeks during the school year and the Star Wars Weekend will bring in even more crowds.

If you avoid Disney's Hollywood Studios on the weekend you are there it would be manageable.  Crowds will be up, but you should definitely be in better shape than if you came in late June or July.

I am so excited for your four children and their upcoming Walt Disney World Vacation!!

    Have a magical trip!!
