Planning a vacation for multiple family's in Sept 2023, when making a reservation do we need to pay the entire balance in advance or do we make a deposit and periodic payments during the pre-vacation year.

    Hiya, Steven!

Welcome to planDisney, friend! I am so excited to hear that you are planning a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. And a trip with multiple families is a reason to celebrate! I am sure that you and your entire Ohana will make a lifetime of magical memories during your visit. Let's go over all that you need to know about booking a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package so you can make this dream official!

When booking your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package you will pay an initial deposit, and the remaining balance will be due 30 days prior to your arrival. The current deposit amount is $200 and is subject to change. Once you have booked your package you can make payments at your convenience online or by phone with a friendly Cast Member. Pro tip: After you have paid that initial deposit, divide the remaining balance by the number of months until the due date. This gives you a target monthly payment amount if you prefer to avoid paying one large transaction on the day the balance is due.

Because you mentioned traveling with multiple families, I do want to mention that if you will be responsible for booking more than one room for your travel party, you will need to call to make this type of reservation. You can speak to a friendly Cast Member with Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to book your package. If each individual family is booking their accommodations separately, you can easily book your vacation package online in a few easy steps. After each family books their package you can link your reservations and your plans through your My Disney Experience accounts. I recommend that each adult in your travel party creates their own account and that you link them together before you arrive. This will make planning together a breeze. A child's account should be created by their parent or guardian to allow them to add the child to upcoming plans with ease.

I hope that your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
    We'll see ya real soon!
