Planning another vacation and after looking at receipts from last year, have decided against the dining plan. Is there any way that after we book and pay for our package to pay "extra", to have $ on our KTTW card already for food etc?

Not exactly, Mollie.  What you can do, though, is apply those extra funds to Disney gift cards.  Once you arrive at your resort, specify that you'd like to have charging privileges on your Key to the World cards.  You will need to put a credit card on file.  Also be sure to ask at what dollar amount your room charges will be charged against your credit card.  Once your purchases near that amount, return to the check-in desk and apply the gift card balance towards your room charges.  That way, you have a set amount reserved for your purchases, even though you technically can't apply "extra" to charge against.  I hope that helps.  Have a great time!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
