We are planning a vacation for July 2016 and were wondering if there is a Disney resort that can accommodate 6 adults and 6 children. Ages 15, 13, 10, 9, 7, and 4?

    Stephanie:

If you want to have your entire group stay together, here are my recommendations:

    • If budget is not a consideration, I'd book a 3-bedroom Villa at one of Disney's Vacation Club properties, preferably Beach Club Villas or at Bay Lake Towers. Beach Club's pool offers something for everyone and you are steps away from Epcot, the Boardwalk and a boat ride from Disney's Hollywood Studios. Bay Lake Tower's location on the monorail makes it accessible to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. If you're visiting over July 3 or 4, splurge for the Magic Kingdom View to see the special fireworks.
    • If your group enjoys the outdoors, I recommend considering the Fort Wilderness cabins. Each one sleeps six and offers a full kitchen, deck and grill with plenty of common space for your group to visit. The campground offers so much to do out of the park from a campfire to marina sports not to mention biking. Our family has found that getting cabins near each other is rarely difficult.
    • Two resorts offer family suites for six at Art of Animation and All-Star Music. My preference is AOA not only because it's new but also features a fun pool and the theming is over-the-top. Disney doesn't guarantee that your two suites can be adjoining, but if you book far enough ahead, your chances are better.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
