Planning our vacation for the first week of October. What day are they offering the MNSSHP? We've been three years during this event and have never done it, thinking it will be a neat addition to our trip! Thanks,

    Hi, Penny!

I'm so excited that you're planning your vacation to Walt Disney World during the month of October! That happens to be my very favorite time of the year to visit!

My all-time favorite special event at Walt Disney World is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. The event is held on select nights from September to October and those dates have not been announced yet for 2013. The tone of the event is "not-so-scary," which means dreamers of all ages can enjoy this party. There is a separate ticket required and it's so much fun because Magic Kingdom Park closes at 7:00 p.m. for regular Park Guests and the party goes until midnight! There is even a special parade and special fireworks just for this party! I love getting dressed up in costume and trick-or-treating with my family! It's not to be missed! Keep an eye on the Special Events Tickets page of the Walt Disney World website for more info on dates and pricing.

My family has gone to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party three times and we enjoy it more each time we go! It's so much fun and all of the special costumes the Characters wear are just fabulous as well! I'm sure you'll have the time of your lives!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question and please feel free to ask any others you think of!

Wishing you Pixie Dusted vacation planning!
