I am planning a vacation with other family members Can I book a reservation for myself at one restaurant and book a different restaurant for my adult son at another at the same time

    Hi Lyne!

I've been the designated planner for family reunions before, so I know it can be a bit of a juggling act when it comes to coordinating everything. However, I've got some good news for you...you shouldn't have a problem splitting your group up for two simultaneous dining reservations.

When I've done that in the past, I called the Disney Dining reservation line at: (407) WDW-DINE so I could make one reservation in my name (for my crew) and a second reservation in the name of a different family member (for their crew). The cast members I spoke to in those occasions were super helpful in pulling this off.

Now, I haven't tried to do this online yet with the new setup on My Disney Experience. If you've gone onto DisneyWorld.com and registered yourself, you'll notice that you can arrange your dining reservations in a way that asks for the names of specific family members will be joining you for that dining experience. (Assuming, of course, that you have them all tied to your reservation.) From what it looks like, you would just pick and choose the members of your group that will join your for a given reservation.

Since I haven't done this yet myself, I made a call to see if my assumption was correct and the cast member I spoke to confirmed it for me. So, whatever works best for you (phone vs. online), you should be good to go!

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

When you make your dining reservations, make note of the confirmation numbers. The My Disney Experience system is really good at linking dining reservations to your account. However, if you don't see them when you log in, you can always input the confirmation numbers and it will update itself for you so you can manage all of your reservations in one spot.

I hope that helps! If you should have any additional questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
