Welcome to planDisney, Christopher. I’m happy to answer your question today.
While I typically travel with just my husband or a small group of friends, I have traveled with a large group before, and one of my favorite parts about
Walt Disney World Resort is the many different accommodation options available. From
Deluxe to
Moderate to
Value Resorts, there is truly something for every budget and preference. And of course, the
Deluxe Villa Resorts offer some great options for larger parties as well.
My first suggestion would be to check the
Special Offers page on the website, as there are often great deals available. If one aligns with your travel dates and resort preferences, you could save a significant amount right off the bat. For a party of seven adults (a 14-year-old is usually considered an adult at Walt Disney World), booking two rooms at a Value Resort, just as you suggested, is a solid option. You can request adjoining rooms. While this is not guaranteed, Cast Members will do their best to accommodate the request. You may also want to explore the
Good Neighbor Hotels. This can expand your budget-friendly options, and some of these hotels even offer some of the benefits
available to Guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection Hotels.
If you go the Good Neighbor route and your hotel offers some of these perks, be sure to
link your reservation to your My Disney Experience account. This will allow each Guest staying in those rooms to access any available benefits. You will also want to confirm whether the hotel offers transportation to the theme parks and if there is any associated cost. Additionally, consider whether the hotel charges for parking if you plan to drive. Currently, parking is included at
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels at both the hotel and the theme parks. Even if parking is included with your Good Neighbor Hotel stay, it typically does not cover parking at the theme parks.
Christopher, no matter where you lay your head at night, you are bound to have an amazing vacation. Enjoy every moment, and
please reach out again if you have any other questions.
Wishing you a vacation filled with magic and unforgettable memories,
Matt
