We are planning a vacation down October 2022 for my son's birthday. I heard the Magical Express will no longer be running. How will transportation be handled? We are flying in. What is the cheapest way to get to Disney from airport?

I'm partial because I have one, Sabrina, but I have to tell you that I think October is the perfect month for a birthday. All the more so when it is celebrated at Walt Disney World. I just love fall visits!

You are correct; Disney's Magical Express will no longer be offered for 2022 reservations. There are, however, still a variety of ways to get to Walt Disney World from the airport. Personally, I love the convenience and flexibility of using a ride-share service (like Lyft or Uber). If you want even more options, I encourage you to visit the Orlando International Airport (MCO) website. The "Parking & Transportation" section of their website has options and estimated rates that you might find helpful. Your trip is still quite a ways off, so checking for prices when it is much closer will provide you with a more accurate approximate fare.

I'd also encourage you to make a habit of visiting the Disney Parks Blog as you await your magical vacation. It's really a great resource for learning about all the updates to experiences, limited-time snacks and merchandise, and general news about what is happening at the Most Magical Place on Earth! You might also consider following planDisney's social media channels for tried and true tips.

It's such a pleasure to help, Sabrina. As you plan the details of your son's celebration, please be sure to let us know if we can offer personalized suggestions for your itinerary. I'm wishing you both an unforgettable vacation!
