Hello Erin,
I was delighted to see your dining question!
Dining at Walt Disney World is one of my favorite things to do, other than the attractions. There are countless options ranging from snacks and quick service to character dining and signature restaurants. So, here are my recommendations for our family's favorites, especially for the ages of your children.
For breakfast, I suggest the Disney Junior Play 'n' Dine at Hollywood & Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios. We have enjoyed this breakfast many times beginning when my oldest was 3 (he is now almost 13) to my youngest who is now 6. They have always enjoyed meeting characters from their favorite TV shows. The buffet is very child friendly with lots of options. Another fantastic quick service breakfast option is Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion at Epcot. It happens to be my favorite food court location with lots of great menu options that are hearty and healthy. It is also one of the few locations you can find quick service breakfast in the theme parks.
Lunch at the Garden Grill will not disappoint. This revolving restaurant also in the Land Pavilion at Epcot features Chip and Dale and other friends. Much of the produce offered on the menu is grown right there in the Land pavilion. It happens to be one of the hidden gems with some of the best character interactions on property and I highly recommend it!
Lastly, if you are looking for a dinner with fun interactions for the kids, look no further than Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The servers are some of the most enjoyable personalities and the food, served family style, is spectacular.
I hope this offers you some fantastic dining to consider. Be sure to make your advanced dining reservations online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463) up to 180 days in advance.
Bon Appetit!
