We are planning a vacation to Disney World for my daughters Birthday in December.... Our dates our flexible but was looking into Dec 18-23 2009. Are the parks very crowded these days???

Hi Jose.    If you truly do have flexibility, I might suggest possibly moving up your vacation a week.    Traditionally, December offers some of the best times to visit from a crowd perspective if you travel in early to mid December.

Checking the 2009 calendar, Christmas falls on a Friday next year.   Therefore, your proposed vacation would range from the previous Friday through the Wednesday before Christmas.  My experience, and also what many of the tour books indicate, is that holiday crowds start arriving the weekend before Christmas which is when you would be starting your vacation.    While crowds may be reasonable at the start, you can likely expect them to grow as you approach Christmas.

However, if you are attempting to go on your daugther's birthday or are restricted to this time due to school vacations, you may avoid some of the holiday crowds by arriving early and leaving before the 25th.   Hope this helps!
