Hi there! We are planning a vacation to Disney World through Costco Travel Canada with plans to stay at Disney World’s Swan Resort. Wondering if we can add on a dining plan and, if so, how we would do that? Thanks so much for your help! Allison

    Hi Allison,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, to my fellow Canadian! I’m so happy to hear that you’re planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort.

Although the Walt Disney World Swan hotel does have several amenities that are typically reserved exclusively for Guests staying in an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel, such as Extra Magic Hours, you can’t add a Disney Dining Plan to a stay at that hotel. If you want to add one to your stay, you’ll have to choose another place to stay during your upcoming vacation.

If you do want to save some pennies (which is always more than welcome at the current exchange rate for the Canadian dollar), you can choose to pre-purchase some Disney Gift Cards and use those for your meals. You can even use the ones that can be purchased at several Canadian retailers, but please be advised that when you use them in the United States, an exchange rate will apply. Finally, don’t forget to purchase your Theme Park Tickets using the Special Offer designed exclusively for Canadians!

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne

Hi, I’m Lynne from Montreal, Quebec, Canada! I’m a working mom who enjoys snuggles with my son and my husband, who has been my sweetheart since 1997. We’ve been lucky enough to experience several milestones in Walt Disney World, including our wedding and honeymoon in 2009. As Disney Vacation Club members, we often plan trips for large, and sometimes even multi-generational, groups to come and enjoy the fun with us. Learn More About Lynne
