I am planning a vacation for Dec 3-8. Is this a good time to go or is there still a Thanksgiving crowd left over. I love you guys and read every day!!!

Thanks for coming back to visit us each day!

Our family has traveled to WDW several times in the beginning of December. Usually the Thanksgiving crowds have dwindled by the Monday following the holiday.

The kids, their parents and chaperones for the Pop Warner Super Bowl and National Cheer and Dance Championships will be arriving near the end of your stay. The first event takes place on December 7, Sunday.  That is the only “heads up” that I can think to give you right now.

When you encounter the kids in the parks, it is very easy to navigate around them as they travel in packs. The teams are usually given special rates at certain WDW resorts. It’s usually the All Star and Port Orleans resorts. You can check their website out as the date gets closer to see what resorts they are likely to be staying. We’ve seen some kids at other hotels with their parents but we‘ve never encountered any extra noise or other problems. The hotels that the Pop Warner teams “take over” will have crowded food courts, cheerleading practices late at night, and other rambunctious (oh, if only I had that energy!) fun.

Keeping that information in mind, it’s a fantastic time of year to enjoy the holiday festivities with lower crowds.
