We are planning a vacation April 17-26 2012. There will be 2 adults and 2 children age 3 and 9. Realistically how much per day should we plan pn spending? We have the meal plan and will be taking water bottles and pwdered drink mixes and snacks for the par

    Hi, Lori!

If you have the Disney Dining Plan and plan to bring your own snacks and water bottles, your out of pocket expense should be minimal.

If you have the Base Dining Plan with table service meals, you will need to pay gratuities.  At 15% tip, count on about $12 - $15 per table service meal depending on where you are dining.

Another expense will be any souvenirs or goodies you purchase along the way. I find that if I get each of my kids their own Disney Gift Card with a set amount, they know how much they have to spend for the vacation and they have to stick to it.

The only other money you might spend is for extra snacks or meals outside your dining plan, and any tips you leave at your discretion for the housekeeping staff or Magical Express motorcoach driver, or for taxi fare if you take a taxi to save time for a dining reservation at a different resort.

While this is just a ball park figure, if you bring $30 - $40 per day, I think you will be more than covered for your trip.  It all will depends on your spending habits and self-control in the gift shops!   Good luck and have a great Spring vacation in WDW!
