I am planning on using gift cards while in the parks for our dining/shopping/etc. But I don't see a way to store a gift card in the app. Do we really need to type in the gift card number each time we want to place a meal order, buy Genie+, etc?

    Welcome BACK, Margie!

It's so good to see your name pop back up in our question queue hEAR at planDisney! I'm so excited for your return visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!

The Disneyland Mobile App went through a bit of an upgrade recently to where it now accepts Disney Gift Cards! You're right, it sadly can't store gift card information the way apps from national shopping or a certain drive-through coffee chain can. However, one pro hack that some super fans have figured out is that you can enter all of the gift card numbers (+ their access codes) into a note in your phone. Then when you're ready to purchase Genie+, a Mobile Food & Beverage Order, or even check out of a shop using Merchandise Mobile Checkout, you'll simply copy and paste the code from your phone into the correct checkout box! It's not the most seamless system, but it works. Pro Tip: Include in your notes how much each gift card originally held and how much you charged on it throughout the day.

Bonus Tip: Merchandise Mobile Checkout is pretty new, and it's a game changer. Look for signs in each shop and take advantage when you can.

I hope that this helped to better plan your upcoming Disneyland days, Margie! Be sure to follow the official planDisney Instagram account for even more tips and tricks!
