We’re planning on using our dining credits for dinners, our third day we were looking at a restaurant that requires 2 credits but we will only have 1 each left at that point. Do we just pay the difference for both of us? We also have our toddler with us

Welcome to planDisney! It's a pleasure to answer your question today.

At this time, Guests must redeem the required amount of table-service meals if they want to use the Disney Dining Plan at the restaurant at which they are looking to dine. Since Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park requires you to redeem 2 table-service meals to use the dining plan there, you will not be able to redeem only 1 meal and then pay the difference. I would recommend either paying for this meal out of pocket or paying out of pocket for one of the other table-service meals you're going to experience that only requires you to redeem 1 meal. Then, if you plan it right, you'll have 2 meals to redeem at this signature dining experience! Either way, you usually don't need to pay for a meal for children under 3 as they can often eat off of your plate. If you decide to order something off of the children's menu for them, however, you would need to pay for that.

When I'm trying to make decisions like this, I will often do some Disney Math. Don't worry, just ask Donald Duck, Disney Math is totally real. I will look at the restaurants at which I'm dining, check out the menus, and decide what I'll likely order. While menus and prices can and do change from time to time, this gives me an idea of what my meals will cost. I determine what would be my most expensive meals and I plan to redeem my dining plan meals at those restaurants and pay for the cheaper meals out of pocket.

Nicole, I wish you all the best bites and the most exquisite meals while you're at the resort. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!
