    Planning my upcoming trip...thinking if we have a car on site & we want to drive to the park one day, do we pay for parking or is that included in a package price?

    Hi Torrie! Many guests can't decide whether to have a car with them for a Walt Disney World vacation or not. I know my own husband would go nuts without having a car to use during his stays. But honestly Disney transportation is very good so if it's a place you can save money you don't absolutely need one.

    If you do decide to have a car and wish to use it to head to the parks you will not have to pay for parking if you are a registered Disney resort guest. They are also offering Preferred Parking at all four theme parks. This is special parking privileges that will find you as close to the entrance as possible. The price for this is $40 but for Disney resort guests it would only be $20.  It is just another option.

    I will highly recommend you do not drive to the Magic Kingdom park. It is far more convenient for guests to use the buses as they will drop you off right at the park entrance. If you drive you will park far away and then have to hop on the monorail or take the ferry boat to reach the entrance. This takes extra time so its much faster to ride the bus.
