Tara Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We are planning two visits to in Sept 2013 and one in Oct 2013 (each for 5 days). Would it be better for us to purchase two separate 5-day tickets with Park Hopper option or Annual Passes? Thanks so much for your time!

    Hi Tara,

Wow, I'm really jealous! That's so cool that you have two trips coming up right around the corner.

You asked a really interesting question, so I'll be happy to share a few thoughts that might help in your decision process:

Option #1: Becoming an Annual Passholder

If you were to compare the price of two 5-day Park Hopper Passes to one base-level annual pass, you'd save a few bucks by opting for the annual pass. Plus, there are some great perks and discounts available for annual passholders

If you choose this option, then you would just book a room-only vacation for each of your visits (no theme park tickets or dining plan included). Depending on the time of year, the resort hotel, and the type of room you choose, you may be eligible for annual passholder discounts on your room-only reservations.

Option #2: Booking a Magic Your Way Package

With a package deal (resort hotel, theme park tickets, and dining plan bundled together), you might find some special deals available that are too good to pass up. To see the latest offers, either check or call (407) 939-1936.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

I'm an annual passholder and one of my favorite perks is getting access to the Tables in Wonderland card. For a small fee, this card gives you access to 20% discounts at participating restaurants and access to members-only events. I highly recommend this card if you aren't on one of the Disney Dining Plans.

I hope that helps!  If you should have any additional questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
