Hello, we are planning a two night stay but only one park day. I’m wondering if a dining plan is an option? Thanks!

    Welcome to planDisney, Jessica!

Oh, I like how you're thinking. When we visit Walt Disney World, dining is a priority because there are so many outstanding choices that include such a variety of flavors, experiences, views, and atmosphere. You'll have so much fun investigating some new favorites!

Jessica, we are big fans of the Disney Dining Plan, so if you'd like to enjoy pre-paying for some of the most outstanding meals on park property, you might want to consider adding this to your plans. On the Disney Dining Plan, each member of your party will enjoy 1 Quick-Service Meal, 1 Table-Service Meal, and 1 Snack/Nonalcoholic Drink (those 21+ may substitute this for beer, wine, or a cocktail) per night. For a two night stay with only one park day, that means you can enjoy dining at WDW Resort hotels, Disney Springs, and Disney's BoardWalk on your non-park day, too. Yum!

The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan is another option if you don't see yourselves sitting down to a Table-Service meal while visiting. This plan gives each person 2 Quick-Service Meals and 1 Snack/Drink per night, so that gives you lots of dining options as well.

Both plans include 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug as well--perfect if you plan to have a resort day by the pool. All of your meals and snacks on these plans may be used at any time throughout your stay--so very flexible. Like Cinderella at the ball, these meals and snacks expire at midnight on the day of your checkout, so you can enjoy dining that day even if your plans do not include a park.

Jessica, some of our favorite WDW restaurants are located outside of the parks, so we'll often plan a day around a visit to them. Check out Trattoria al Forno, Ale & Compass Restaurant and Sanaa to get an idea of your delicious dining options for your non-park day. All so good...and all accept your Disney Dining Plan.

As you plan your pixie-dusted visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
