Hi Emma, welcome to planDisney!
Birthdays at Walt Disney World Resort are so magical, and a meal at
Cinderella’s Royal Table is going to make it even better! Make sure you visit
Guest Relations in City Hall at Magic Kingdom Park to ask for Celebration buttons for your little ones. Think of it as a visual "Royal Proclamation" that you are celebrating a very special occasion during your visit!
When it comes to theme park tickets and theme park reservations, your 1-year-old will not require them as they are visiting as a guest of Mickey! However,
you will need to include them in your dining reservations. This allows the restaurant to make accommodations for any highchairs or booster seats that you may need. You can make your advance dining reservations
up to 60 days in advance of your visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
I also travel with young children, and I think character dining experiences are a great choice for meeting characters. They are perfect for kids because it gives them an opportunity to sit in an air-conditioned environment and eat some food while the characters come right to your table! The Princesses recently returned to Cinderella’s Royal Table and
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is another great option for dining with a visit from some royalty. If you’re looking for Mickey and friends, I highly recommend Minnie’s Seasonal Dining for lunch or dinner at
Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
I also want to make sure you know about the
Baby Care Centers in each of the theme parks, Emma. I have visited Walt Disney World Resort with a 1-year-old, and I found the Baby Care Centers to be incredibly helpful. They were a great option for a quiet and spacious place to change and feed my baby, as well as purchasing any necessities like diapers, wipes, and sunscreen.
I hope you and your little princesses have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort, Emma. If you have any more planning questions, feel free to
visit me again at planDisney!
Have courage and be kind,
Kaitlin
