Hi, Dana!
There is so much to see and do at the Walt Disney World Resort and it can be a little overwhelming trying to decide what's most important. I'm excited that you came here to the Moms Panel to ask for help! I have a feeling that you might get a different answer from each one of us Moms...but, here's my idea!
My kids were seven and eleven on our first trip and we did something really fun to help decide what was most important. First, you'll want to order your
free Disney Parks Vacation Planning DVD. You can watch it with your kiddos and it will give you a good idea of what you all MUST see. I recommend pulling up each Park online and review the attractions' descriptions and create your
not-to-be-missed list. Once you have your list made, you can order
free keepsake Customized Maps that will allow you to highlight your family's favorite attractions at each of the four Theme Parks. I'm thinking that you'll probably want to spend most of your time at the Magic Kingdom, but depending on the length of your trip, you could absolutely visit the three other Parks as well.
Remember, you won't be able to see and do everything in one trip, so be sure to leave some down time to take it easy. It will be pretty toasty in June, so you'll want to visit the pool too! Some of our favorite moments have been had by simply enjoying a Mickey Bar while sitting on a bench in front of Cinderella Castle!
I hope I've given you a good starting point and I encourage you to come back and visit us with any other questions you think of in your planning phases.
Wishing you Pixie Dusted vacation planning!
