We are planning a trip this year and I was wondering if you know of any military discounts that are offered at the Disney resorts? I know there is the Shades of Green but wondered if there were any Disney hotels with a military rate?

    Danielle,

You couldn't have written at a better time!  Effective January 4, 2009 through December 23, 2009,  as part of Disney's "What Will You Celebrate" campaign, it is launching "Disney's Armed Forces Salute".  Active and retired U.S. Military personnel (including members of the Coast Guard, National Guard or Reservists with orders showing active status after January 1, 2008) can enjoy one complimentary 5-Day ticket with Park Hopper and Water Park Fun & More options.  Active or retired military personnel may also make a one-time purchase of up to a maximum of five 5-Day companion tickets for $99 per ticket, plus tax.  These companion tickets do not include Park Hopper or Water Park Fun & More, but they can be upgraded to add these options for $25, plus tax per option.  All tickets are non-transferrable and must be used by December 23, 2009.

In addition, military personnel are eligible for discounted rates (40% off) at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels during this offer period.  For information on the "Disney's Armed Forces Salute" offer  at Walt Disney World, active and retired U.S. Military personnel should call the ITT office on their base or visit www.disneyworld.com/military.

I hope you are able to take advantage of this amazing offer!
