I am planning a trip for my 6 year olds first visit. I would like to travel Oct 30 - Nov 5 to get the excitement of Halloween ( trick or treating) and Christmas in our visit. I heard they set up for Xmas on Nov 2 is this true??

Hello Kari!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I love visiting Walt Disney World during the fall and winter holidays.  It is truly a magical time to visit.

The dates for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party have not been announced yet but that will be a good way to gauge when the Christmas decorations start going up.  The Halloween party usually runs until November 1st or 2nd.  After that, the decorating for Christmas begins.  The decorating process is not an instant over night process. There is so much that goes into the holiday decorating, that would be nearly impossible.  Between the last Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, about a week or so, is when a majority of the decorating gets completed.  I think you've picked great dates to be able to enjoy a little bit of both holidays while you are on your vacation.

Have a wonderful trip!  If I can help you with anything else, please let me know!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
