Planning our 1st trip with our 4 year old for the 1st of Feb. and just had a question.. can you book reservations for dinner in other hotels? and are you free to walk around other hotels?

    Hi Amanda,

Planning your first Disney vacation is so exciting!  Seeing the magic through your child's eyes is priceless!

You absolutely can dine in the restaurants at different Disney resorts.  In fact, many of my favorite restaurants are found inside the resorts.  Not only do you get to enjoy a great meal, you get to scope out places to stay on future visits.  A few restaurants that might be fun for your family are:

Whispering Canyon Cafe - Wilderness Lodge
    'Ohanas (dinner) - Polynesian
    Chef Mickey's - Contemporary
If you have a girl then you might want to try 1900 Park Fare - Grand Floridian

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
