We are planning a trip to the Yacht Club Resort in August, my son will turn 3 during our trip. Any special recommendations for a 3 year olds birthday?

Hey there, Katherine! It's great to see you again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Birthdays and Walt Disney World just go together, don't they? I've celebrated my own birthday there more times than I care to admit (at least I don't care to admit how many birthdays I've had...), and now that we have a little guy, we've spent most of his birthdays there, too. Here are some ideas to help make his day Meeska-Mooska-Mouska-special.

    • Pick up a Happy Birthday button inside the Theme Parks or at your resort hotel. Your son will love all the special birthday wishes he gets!
    • Have a custom birthday cake delivered during his birthday dinner at a Walt Disney World restaurant.
    • Meet Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater in the Magic Kingdom. Be sure you have your video camera rolling for this very special meet and greet with Mickey - this year he sang Happy Birthday to our son!

You'll find lots more great ideas for making magical memories with little ones on the Preschoolers page on the Walt Disney World website. I hope this helps your little guy have the best birthday ever!

    Have a magical day,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
