We are planning a trip to the World Resort and to Animal Kingdom parks. We will not have a car. which hotel/resort would be close to these parks and restaurants. it would be helpful if they also had a shuttle.

    Jambo, my friend!

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your resort transportation question! I’m so excited that you’re planning to visit Animal Kingdom Theme Park—it’s one of my absolute favorites. From embarking on a wild adventure through the Kilimanjaro Safaris (keep an eye out for the okapi—my family’s favorite!), to singing along at the Festival of the Lion King, which is a Broadway-style celebration full of acrobats and singing, every corner of this park is bursting with pure magic.

Now, let’s trek right into your question! You’ll be happy to know that all Disney Resorts offer complimentary transportation to and from the theme parks. Depending on where you’re staying, that transportation may include buses, boats, or even the Disney Skyliner! To get to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, simply head to your resort’s bus stop area and look for the bus marked Animal Kingdom. It’s the most direct route, and the buses typically run about every 20 minutes.

If you’re looking to stay close to the adventure, I can’t recommend Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge enough. It’s a true hidden gem—located just a short drive from the park—and if you book a Savanna View room, you might spot giraffes, zebras, or ankole cattle right from your balcony! There’s nothing quite like sipping your morning coffee while watching the animals roam; it’s one of my favorite morning rituals.  If Animal Kingdom Lodge is not your style, here is a list of all other Disney resorts

And while you’re visiting, if you have time to venture beyond the wild, I highly recommend heading over to EPCOT to explore the World Showcase, where you can experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of cultures from around the globe!

I hope this helps you plan your wild and wonderful adventure. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to visit us again.

    See ya real soon,

    Christina
