Planning a trip to Wilderness Lodge with a Toddler, Preschooler plus parents and Grandparents (6 guests) Is it best to book 2 adjoining rooms in lodge or rent a multi bedroom villa if available? want to keep everyone comfortable and have access to amenitie

Hi there, Andrea! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. I'm delighted that you've chosen to be our guest, and I'm as excited to help you as Belle in a library full of new books!

Disney's Wilderness Lodge and the two adjacent Disney Vacation Club properties, Boulder Ridge Villas and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins, are stunning resorts that transport you to the Pacific Northwest. There are nature trails to explore, great family-friendly dining options, and fantastic pools! The location is super-convenient, too--I love taking an early-morning boat ride from the resort to Magic Kingdom Park while enjoying my coffee.

Whether you choose connecting hotel rooms in the lodge, or one of the villas at Boulder Ridge or Copper Creek, you really can't go wrong.  Personally, I like the additional living space that you get in the villas. As you're traveling with little ones who may need a midday nap, having somewhere to unwind for the grown-ups is necessary!  Both DVC resorts offer 2-Bedroom Villas that sleep up to 8 Guests, plus 1 infant under the age of 3 (Boulder Ridge also has a 2-Bedroom Lock-Off Villa that sleeps 9 plus 1 infant).  The villas also include fully-equipped kitchens to enjoy some "home"-cooked meals or prepare an impromptu naptime wine and cheese platter for the parents and grandparents.

The villas are a short walk from the lodge, so it's quite convenient to pop over for a snack or a dip in the Copper Creek Springs Pool. Be sure to get a picture of the kids next to the lobby totem poles, each featuring different Disney characters--it's a great tradition to continue on future visits, too!  And you can end your day with a front-row seat for one of my all-time favorite Disney experiences, the Electrical Water Pageant. It's a nightly parade that travels around Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake, featuring some favorite Disney songs and whimsical light-up floats!

Andrea, I hope this information helps you with planning for your upcoming vacation. I'm sure it is going to be amazing! If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly--I'd be delighted to help.
