Hi Linda!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is my favorite Walt Disney World Resort! It's our home away from home and we always look forward to our next camping or cabin adventure there.
You are more than welcome to bring a screen tent to put over the picnic table as long as it fits on your campsite. This is a great idea to help keep the bugs and flies away! We did a lot of shooing away of flies the last time we camped and ate outdoors, so we bought the screen domes to put over food that sits on the table for our next camping trip.
I have no doubt you will fall in love with Disney's Fort Wilderness and so will your children and grandchildren. How special that you'll be taking a multi-generational trip together! There are numerous playgrounds throughout the property that the little ones will enjoy playing in as well as two pools for splashing around. Bring your own supplies to make s'mores or purchase them at
The Chuck Wagon and head over to
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long nightly to meet with the two pesky chipmunks and sing some familiar tunes while roasting marshmallows by the fire.
I highly suggest heading to the Bike Barn to check out the activities they offer to guests. We
rented canoes the last time we stayed and had a peaceful float around the river.
Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions or if you'd like more suggestions on how to make the most out of your stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
Have a magical day!
Leslie
