We are planning our trip for the week of Aug. 16. We would like to take advantage of the free DDP offer, but have some picky eaters. I'm wondering if we can do the quick service plan instead of the regular dining plan to better accomodate us?

    Hi Kim,

The Disney Dining Plan for free is an amazing offer.  I think your family will really enjoy the plan, even with picky eaters in the group.  We often make our table service reservations at restaurants that offer a buffet, this way there is a large selection, and everyone can usually find something that they like.  Also, if you're worried that your older children who may be on the adult plan will only like food that is offered on the children's menu, they will most likely be able to order from there as well.  I've found Disney restaurants are very accommodating.

You are always able to trade down on the dining plan.  For example, you can use your table service credits to purchase a quick service meal, so you will be able to use your table service credits anywhere.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
