We are planning a trip to WDW with a 2 1/2 year old. Thinking of staying in Beach Club Villas. Can we walk to the monorail station at Epcot and approx how long would it take?

Hello John!  I love the Yacht and Beach Club resorts as well as the villas!  To be able to walk to two different parks is such a plus!

You can indeed walk to the monorail station at EPCOT although it is a bit of a walk. You enter EPCOT through the International Gateway entrance which brings you into the park by the United Kingdom area of the World Showcase.  Even if the World Showcase is not open yet you are permitted to walk through to reach Future World.  The monorail station for the park is located at the very front entrance and the walk would take you about 20 minutes.

If you are trying to reach the Magic Kingdom or a resort on the monorail system the easiest way is to take the Magic Kingdom bus to the park and then hop on the monorail from there.  If you are just wanting a nice monorail ride then the segment that connects EPCOT to the Transportation and Ticket Center is least crowded mid day!  Have a great time!
