We're planning a trip to WDW (Wilderness Lodge) in May 2014 with our two children. What type of boat is used between the Lodge and MK? I understand that we won't have to collapse our running stroller if it's one of the larger boats. Thanks!

Hi Janie! The Wilderness Lodge is one of my favorite places to stay while at Walt Disney World. I love walking around the property or sitting in the lobby as it reminds me of our wonderful west and National Parks.

The main boats that take Wilderness Lodge guests to the Magic Kingdom will be the larger boats. On these you will not have to collapse strollers and wheelchairs and ECVs. There might be times during the day when they switch over to the smaller boats and on these you would have to fold up strollers. This can happen during what they consider slower times. You might also find during slow traffic times that they combine both the Wilderness Lodge and the Fort Wilderness guests on one boat.

The smaller boats that leave the Wilderness Lodge are the ones that take guests to the Contemporary resort and the Fort Wilderness resort. They will not allow strollers to remain upright.

Hope this helps when making your plans for your vacation!
