Planning 1st trip to WDW from 3/28-4/2/10 unfortunately peak season. Just booked an ADR with Chef Mickey's at 4:25 pm (too early?). We will not be staying on-site, NOT park hopping. Should we plan on MK that day, or can we do HS? Have 6 mo and 4 YO. TKS

Hi Stephanie, Great choice--Chef Mickey's is one of my family's favorite restaurants! I think as long as you eat an early lunch, your reservation time should be fine.

Chef Mickey's is located inside the Contemporary Resort. Even though the Park it is closest to is the Magic Kingdom, it is not inside a Park. Therefore, a Park pass isn't required for access (which can sometimes be an issue if you aren't Park Hopping and are eating inside a Theme Park).

You could spend the day at Disney's Hollywood Studios if you'd like and still head to dinner at Chef Mickey's. Will you be driving your own car or using Disney's transportation? Either way, you should plan on heading out of DHS by approximately 3:25. Always give yourself about an hour from when you are leaving one place and needing to be at the next one.

If you pick Magic Kingdom for the day, it is definitely a lot closer to Chef Mickey's. You can actual walk from the MK main gate to the Contemporary in approximately 15 minutes. You could also ride the monorail instead, which is always fun for the kids.

Please let me know if you need clarification on any of this and have a wonderful vacation!
