Planning trip to WDW summer 2013 and trying to get an estimate of our much to save. There will be 6 Adults and 4 kids (6, 7, 9, 11). What is your recommendation on where to stay for 10 people. Would like to avoid Value resorts if possible. Your thoughts?

    Hi Amy!

Generally speaking, getting multiple rooms at a Disney Value or Moderate Resort is going to be a lot less expensive than getting a Disney Deluxe Villa, especially one that can hold 10 guests!  My favorite Disney Moderate Resort is Port Orleans Riverside.  I love the theming, especially of the Alligator Bayou section of the resort!  There's also a nice boat service to Downtown Disney, which is very relaxing, especially at night.  Finally, the pool area is very nice with a relatively long water slide.

With a group that large, you should also consider getting a vacation home right outside Walt Disney World.  I've been very impressed with All Star Vacation Homes.  Many guests enjoy having the extra room.  However, you will definitely need your own car (or cars) for this to work, so that may not be the best choice.

You might also consider working with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner.  They are travel agents who specialize in vacations at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and Adventures by Disney.  Generally speaking, their services are no cost to you and most have experience with large groups.

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
