We are planning a trip to WDW staying at Animation resort. We are taking our 6 year old grandson is this a good resort for his age or is there a better one? We are also planning on the meal plan is this recommended? Is park hopper worth the extra?

    Hi Paulette,

I am so happy that you are able to take your grandson to Walt Disney World!  The Art of Animation Resort will be just fantastic for you and him!  The suites are amazing and wonderfully themed in the room and throughout the resort.  I think this is a great choice.  The meal plan is good and highly recommended.  I would make your Advanced Dining Reservations which you can do up to 180 days prior to your vacation.  As far as purchasing the Park Hopper option, I think this is not necessary.  My family will rarely use this as we love to explore one park every day.  There is so much to do at each of the theme parks!  Plus with a six year old who may not be able to stay up to Midnight and wake up ready to go by 7:00 am the next day, I think you could better spend the extra money somewhere else.  This is just my opinion, however, I feel that you will have just as much fun (if not more) then to wonder if you should go to another park for the day.  If a park closes early (such as Animal Kingdom), my family will usually enjoy the resort or visit Downtown Disney.  You will have so much to do, Paulette, that I don't feel like the Park Hopper option is necessary.  Please let me know if I can help you further with your planning.  I know your vacation will be just magical!
