Hi Crystal!
Choosing your resort for a Walt Disney World vacation is fun. There are so many great choices and many will depend on your budget.
My favorite of the Value resorts is indeed the
Pop Century Resort. All of the Value resorts will have multiple pools, food court, and similar room sizes. The themes will vary and it is fun to at least visit some of the other resorts to see this. But the reason I prefer Pop Century is because it tends to have less groups staying there. It is definitely a more family feel, and I like the layout of the buildings. It never shares a bus route with another resort and the location is more centralized to the theme parks.
The only other choice that I would recommend you looking at would be the
Art of Animation Resort. This is also a Value resort but they can offer Family Suites. Looking at the ages of your children this might prove to be a great option. Each suite will have a bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom. The living area has added sleeping arrangements and another full bathroom. There is also a small kitchenette. Many guests prefer to book this room versus trying to get two rooms at another resort.
A final thought for you to consider is the
Fort Wilderness Cabins. These will also give you a separate bedroom with a queen and bunk beds, a sleeper sofa in the living room, a dining area and a full kitchen. Outside there is a patio and grill. They will only have one bathroom. This is in the moderate category but the pricing is similar to the Art of Animation suites.
I would stay with your Pop Century choice unless your budget allows you to consider one of the other options.
