We are planning a trip to WDW in the spring. We know that a lot of the times, it is just luck on when you get a bus. However, between Port Orleans Riverside, Fench Quarter, and Caribbean Beach, which actually has the best wait time?

    Hi Allyson,

Congratulations on your upcoming spring vacation!  Many of us wish we knew a scientific approach for determining wait times for bus transportation in Walt Disney World, however there is no exact answer.  But the good news is Disney continually monitors its transportation system to anticipate and adapt as needed.  Therefore if you encounter a wait at your bus depot, rest assured that more buses will be coming very soon and whisk you off to your next adventure.

Although I don't have any scientific data to give you, I can tell you my opinion about which Disney Resort is the quickest to depart/return using the Disney bus transportation system.  In my opinion Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter Resort has the shortest transit time between the time you leave your room and your destination.  My first reason is because this Resort is quite a bit smaller than the other two.  Therefore it takes less time to travel from your room to the bus depot than it does at Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside Resort or Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.  Additionally, since there are fewer Guests at Port Orleans - French Quarter Resort there is less of a chance that you will have to wait in a long line to board a bus.  Finally, it has been my experience that when Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter Resort and Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside Resort share bus transportation, usually the first stop to pick up Guests is at Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter Resort.  Therefore during busy times you are more likely to find a seat when boarding from Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter Resort and not as likely to have to wait on another bus.

I hope this information helps you with your decision.  Please let us know if you have any further questions!

    Blessings,
