I am planning a trip to WDW this spring with my DH and 2 boys (7&5) and want to stay in a hotel that offers a separate bedroom and living area. I see that the Wilderness Cabins offers this; are there other hotels that have this (not villas)?

    Amy:

You have two other economical options open to you:

    1. The All-Star Family Suites at All-Star Music.  These suites have the square-footage of two standard rooms at the Value resort but with a lot more amenities.  You'll get a bedroom with a queen bed (great for shutting the door and letting little ones take a nap), two bathrooms (one for you, one for the boys, heehee), and a kitchenette with a microwave, minifridge, counter and cupboard space and a small sink.  The bulk of the suite is a large living area with a fold-out sofa and a chair and ottoman that transform to daybed cots with full mattresses. It's a good option if you're craving your own space and want to stay on Disney property.
    2. One-bedroom Suite at the Swan. Unlike the suites at the Moderate and Deluxe Disney resorts, I have found these to be more economical.  The square-footage is larger than the Family suites (but so is the bottom line).  However, the proximity of the Swan to the Boardwalk, on-site restaurants, an 8-minute walk to Epcot and a 12-minute walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios, may make it more appealing than the frugal suites which have only bus transportation to the parks, a large, crowded pool and only counter service dining options. I found a special offer for their Executive Suites under their Rates & Packages link on their website.
Both of these options will be lighter on the pocketbook than the villas. Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
