Hello Sheena!
As a "huge planner" you will find planning your trip to be a dream come true in and of itself. There is so much to see and do at the Walt Disney World Resort and so many resources with nearly endless amounts of information- all this adds up to perfection for planners!
Since you have plenty of planning time, I suggest you begin by acquiring a two of my favorite books: "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World" and "Passporter's Walt Disney World." Both provide a ton of great information and approach the Walt Disney World Resort in different ways. These resources, along with their online counterparts can help you with the majority of your planning, from choosing a resort to which parks to visit which days to what to pack in your day bag. Also, if you haven't done so yet, register for your
My Disney Experience Account. That is where you will be able to keep much of your vacation plans in one place.
With the
Disney's Deluxe Dining Plan, you will also have many decisions to make in regards to dining. As you do your research, make sure and spend some time studying the huge array of dining options. Some of the dining venues are extremely entertaining in and of themselves. This makes obtaining reservations at 180 days out from your arrival date important as many of them book up quickly.
I know this answer doesn't give very much planning detail, so I hope once you begin diving into your research that you will come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions- we love to help!
See ya real soon!
